Systems Development
J2EE systems development is an i-neda speciality. Working with platforms such as BEA Weblogic, Macromedia JRun and JBoss, we can quickly develop and deploy massively scalable, robust systems.
Our experience with the J2EE platforms means that we are able to utilise the most powerful functionality giving multi-lingual systems with the capability to be re-branded, modified and redeployed quickly and effectively. Utilising industry standard source control tools, as well as documented release procedures, we create a reliable and effective environment for the client payment system development.
Well documented test environments and procedures create confidence in the product’s ability to deliver, as well as providing useful audit data for client. i-neda has a significant investment in RadView load and application test tools, which can be utilised on client behalf to provide concurrent user load testing of up to 10,0001 concurrent users. Each user can be programmed to take a set path through the system, or make ‘intelligent’ decisions on their own based on pre-configured rules about the choices they will be presented. Using this software it is possible to benchmark and verify the system performance, robustness and stability through millions of individually checked transactions.
All our systems come with an industry leading 90 day code warranty, allowing client to deploy the system with the confidence that in the event of a bug being found after go-live, the cost of the system will not increase because ‘sign-off’ has been completed.
1.1.1.1 i-neda Service Manager
i-neda has created a unique service manager architecture for J2EE systems. Utilising the core of the J2EE specification, our service manager architecture allows core business functionality such as gateways to 3rd parties, audit logging and transaction managers to be distributed across many servers. These distributed services are available to all systems operating within the cluster, regardless of their location. To aid performance, local services are used in preference to remote services, but where local services are unavailable, or busy, remote services will be used.
Not only does our service manager create a scalable distributed architecture, it also allows for greater flexibility in defining where services live, how they are used and how many operate. Through our service manager console (Figure 2), additional services can be created on any server operating within the cluster to help under load. Error or locked services can be detected and repaired, and service configurations can be redefined on the fly, without the need for a full system restart (Figure 1).
